Exam Term

Exam term is coming in South Africa. my exam starts at 8th november and ends at 18th. i have to write 4 exams. then i am so scared about them because it is not so easy to pass all of the subjects. the university i am studying is kind of strict about mark because even lots of local students who understand english very well also fail. i know one of my friend who was an exchange student from USA also failed one subject. it is even more difficult for the students who english is their second language to pass all the classes. it was out of my mind that south african university was strict about mark. i confirmed that studying in foreign country is hard through this ecxchange student program. but i think the more i struggling with studying, the more i can get benefits. but i don't know what they are, maybe knowledge, experience or something like that. anyways, after finishing all of the exams, i can be free! and i am planning to travel african countries, maybe zimbabwe, zambia, malawi, tanzania and kenya. it sounds cool, doesn't it?

Short Home Stay

Hello, everyone. it is getting hotter and hotter in south africa.
anyways, i am gonna talk about what i did during short break in the end of september. i was gonna travel to zambia which is one of southern african countries with my zambian friend during that break, but unfortunalely, he suddenly cancelled that plan because he had to do a lot of assignments. i was so disappointed becasue i had been excited about it a lot. however, i thought i didn't want waste my break with doing nothing, so i asked another friend to allow me to stay his home. he is indian south african. in fact, there are so many indians in this country because a lot of their ancestors immigrated to south africa long time ago. even now some indians come to south africa to get the jobs related to IT.

i got to know that indian friend in tourism lecture. he has a good personality, for he is always very nice to everyone. he is liked by everyone. he and his family picked me up in front of the dorm i am living, and i talked with them in the car. his parents were also very nice. they are kind and funny! they took me a lot of places i usually didn't go such as the biggest shopping mall in southern hemisphere, casino and so on. after that, i went to his home, and his mom cooked indian food. it was so nice. i love indian food. what we did was not so special. we just watched TV together, talked about something etc, but i really have a good time. i could relax and feel the warmth of family through staying his home. i stayed his home two nights and went back to my dorm. i didn't wanna come back to the residence becasue i usually feel lots of stress and sometimes lonliness there. if i find an opportunity to stay his home again, i definitely go. am i impudent?

In Tired Of South Africa

How are you? i am so so. actually i am in sick of studying in south africa. my life in south africa is limited compared to my life in japan. for example, i cannot go outside easily because the public transportation is not so developed unlike japan. If i have a car here, i can go everywhere and enjoy south african life. however, i don't have a car, even driver license, so i always walk to the destinations mainly supermarket hahaha. or i can take a vehicle which is called minibus taxi. most of black south african use this transportation, and i also often used it, but i don't wanna take it as much as possible because i have to be squashed in the minibus taxi. it is very uncomfortable! at least 15 people ride on one minibus taxi. this car is as big as japanese wagon car. i think it is illegal in japan that 15 people are riding in a wagon car. that is why i hate minibus taxi. my life in south africa awares me that japan is extremely good and fabulous country! i am in tired of south africa and I miss japan!

Zimbabwe

Hello, guys! actually i went to zimbabwe, the country which is located on the north of south africa. most of south african people told me not to go to zimbabwe because it was extremely dangerous, but i really wanted to go to zimbabwe. zimbabwe is famous for big and beautiful waterfall called victria falls. though i went to zimbabwe, i was totally safe. additionally, people were very nice to me. i was very happy!

victria falls was amazing. it was very beautiful and misty... it was too misty to see anything in some spots. it means i was so wet. it was like after being caught in a shower. some places showed me very very beautiful scenery. there was rainbaw in front of the water fall. it looked like the world in dream.

Listen! i did bungee juumping there. can you believe that? it was soooo scary. the moment i booked the bungee jumping, i started to regret. however i did want to do something big, so i decided to do it. i had to wait 2 hours to do bungee jumping. i had been so nurvous during waiting time. there were the guides of bungee jumping. they looked after me for wearing safty belt or something. one of them was taking a video and he said to me, "do you wanna say something to your friends before jumping?" so i said, "see you in the heaven." finally, the guides started to count, "5 4 3 2 1 jump!" then i jumped without looking at under my feet. i was exposed to the air. it was like commiting the suiside by jumping from a tall building. i thought it was very nice, thrilling, and brave. after jumping i was confident to me. i can do everything. hahaha.

next time, if i have a chance, i wanna do sky diving, but my friend told me sky diving is less scary than bungee jumping.

What Happened To My Tutor?

every friday, i have a tutorial class of Torism 8:40 am-9:25 am. the tutor of this class is south african woman who is black and bald(笑). there is a problem. she is a kind of rude because she OFTEN cancels the class WITHOUT informing her students.

two weeks ago, there were public holidays on Thursday and Monday. this means if there was no lecture on Friday, we could have 5 holidays in a row. however, we were extremely good students, so we attended her tutorial class and waited for her in classroom. but she did not come because she parhaps wanted 5-day holidays. the students got mad because her behavior, skipping the class, was so rude and selfish, and started to gather the signatures on a paper to claim her. finally, they turn it into another tourism lecturer. she completely lost her belief from her students.

today is friday, so we had her tutorial class and she came today. but she started to lecture as if she had done nothing bad two weeks ago. she even didn't apologize to us, but nobody claim. she told us to read handout for 15 minutes, so we were reading. suddenly one of students tried to leave the classroom, so the tutor asked her, "why do you leave? when you leave, you have to say something." the student answer,"i am not interested in this class." and the tutour said,"thank you." wow! how serious that circustance was! can you imagine? at last, the student left the classroom.

she continued the tutorial class. and 15 minutes later, she told us to answer her question about the handout, but nobody answered because i think the topic was a little difficult. there was only silence in the classroom. all of the sudden, she started to cry and said, "i have to cancel this class today." i was so surprised because i didnt think she was the last person who cried in front of people. she insisted on how sad nobody was interested in her class and left the classroom.

this experience was wired for me. and i am a little afraid of next friday.

Happy Calling

when i come back from trip in Mozambique, i got a call from someone in the bus. the person sitting behind told me my cell phone was beeping, so i checked my phene. but i couldnt understand who it was. i infered that this calling must be from my friend Araki Daniel Tadashi who are studying in Ausralia! Just feeling. and i answer the phone and said Moshi Moshi. Surprising! it was really daniel who called me!

I really enjoyed the conversation with him. acutually, he was also in vacation and spent the time with other Japanese friends, Mai and Ayumi, so i could talked with them! it was so fun! but the noize of the bus disturbed our conversation..... it was a little annoying. But we really enjoyed talkeing and i appriciate them. thank you.

In fact, i was a little nervous during conversation becase long time had passed since we were separated.

Club

Hello, everyone. how are you? by the way, what do you do to get rid of your stress? in case of me, i recently get to go to club to eliminate stress. It's so FUN! i have been to 3 clubs in south africa. one of them is very good, but the others are so so. my favorite club is called "Tiger Tiger." they have good drinks and good MUSIC. therefore, i am always excited in this club and dance a lot shouting!! i am crazy in club. nobody can't stop me. hahaha. actually i had never been to club in japan, so i knew how cool and fun club is. after going back to Japan, i really wanna go to club with my crazy friend, yuka.

i have a problem about club. it is that i can' t be sexy while i'm dancing. all of the south africn people are very sexy during dancing, so they are coool. i wanna be like them! therefore i have to study the way to be sexy when i am dancing!
